Lyrics

Here Comes The Band

VERSE 1

Everything about today's been
Dull and uneventful
All work, no play, I've got to say
Is making me resentful
A mediocre job to do
For mediocre pay
I should have paid attention
Back in school
I've only got myself to blame

PRE-CHORUS
The Band Is Coming
Here Comes The Band
The Band Is Coming
Here Comes The Band
These humdrum days and ways
Are surely driving me insane
Thank God for my imagination
Lurking in my brain

CHORUS
Here comes the Lead Guitar
And the Saxophone
The Big Bass Drum
And the Old Trombone
The Sweetest Violin
The Banjo, Flute and the Mandolin
Those Grand Piano Keys
The Trumpet and the Timpani
Come on, let’s have a Big Hand
For The Band

I n s t r u m e n t a l

PRE-CHORUS
The Band Is Coming
Here Comes The Band
The Band Is Coming
Here Comes The Band
Those humdrum days and ways
They drive me positively mental
Thank God for my imagination
It’s so instrumental

I n s t r u m e n t a l

….the party’s getting started
And the fun has just begun

CHORUS
Here comes the Clarinet
And the Saxophone
The Double Bass
And the Old Trombone
The Sweetest Violin
The Cello and the Mandolin
Those Grand Piano Keys
Put your hands together please
Come on, let’s have a Big Hand
For The Band

I’m Singing and I’m Dancing
I’m Rocking and I’m Rolling
With The Band

When I get a demo track back from the studios I go into hyper-mode!
I listen to it throughout the night, concentrating on each individual instrument. So I decided to write a song about the instruments!
I could give you more background to this song but you'd think I was positively mental if I did!
